Great stories John. Tell Callas he doesn't look like he did when he won a NCBA championship. Tell him I said to quit eating so many gyros.
The 2nd story is cool, my son plays in a disabled sports program playing wheelcahir basketball and sled hockey. A lot of the kids on his team have CP. I'm going to show them this clip.

J-Mac...wow, that was what? 1983 right when JC won that College title? I actually knew him back then, used to go to the college to spar Nick Mejia and Paul Murrasso...

'83 sounds about right. I think I ref'd his bout in the finals. John was a good boxer. He did a great job when he ran the program Charter Oak in the projects in Hartford and it sounds like he is still doing a great job at this other gym. He's also a very good pro referee though I haven't seen him on TV lately.
Seeing you with the boxer with CP reminds me of a guy named Dave Ruff from Wilmington, DE who has CP. He used to get in the ring and lean against the ropes and spar guys. He's been coaching boxing for years and writes stories for a boxing paper called Ringsidesports.com
