Audley and Williams.

Post by stujones »

I know its an ancient topic, but hopefully the question I'll ask will have a different slant to it.

I've been doing a little forum on HH's forum and I read the suggestion (that was agreed by a few British posters) that Harrison would have a 50:50 chance against Ruiz. Yes, I admit the heavyweight devision is poor.

However, if I (and I have done in the past on other forums  ) come up with the prediction that Danny Williams will have a 50:50 chance to beat Ruiz, people would laugh at me.

So I put it do the forum, does anybody (else) still thinks Danny even has a chance with Harrison. What as Audley done that so blooming impressive, that good posters think Audley could beat Ruiz but if someone proposed for Danny Williams vs Ruiz to happen the poster would be slaughtered. Okay, I'll give him his dues on his last performance, but in the likes of Meehan, Danny has beaten oppoenents of better ability than Nix.

Its possibly the most dramatic U turn I have seen, absence makes the heart grow fonder and it seems that Audley's absence from UK shores has made him discussed MUCH more positively. Last time was the only time I thought, okay he's beaten someone of top ten DOMESTIC callibre now.

So is Danny Williams vs Audley Harrison now considered pretty much a foregone conclusion (for Harrison) as little as two months ago, people would have said not and probably the slight majority of hardcore fans would have gone for a Williams win.

Now it appears that some people believe Harrison is above Williams, I can't see that myself.

In my opinion, both Danny and Audley would get smashed by Ruiz.

We have seen Danny's level, we haven't seen Audleys...yet

It's easier to get a bit more excited about an unbeaten fighter who is making his way up, than it is about a fighter that has already shown his best.

Until Harrison proves that he's a 12 round fighter like Williams then you'll never get me to believe he can beat Danny.

Like I keep saying, so far Harrison has been the one controlling the pace in nearly all his fights. I expect a significantly less impressive showing when someone (who isn't a crusierweight) comes in looking to work much harder than him.

Audley v Ruiz 50/50? Come back down guys, please.

Ruiz would give Audley a severe beating and KO him.

Danny would fare better but I cant see him winning.

Apart from Hatton and a couple of others, the gulf in class between US and UK fighters is huge.

Danny would stop Audley.

I would give Danny and Audley a 50/50 chance of beating Ruiz, judging on the weekends p!ss poor contest with Rahman.

Why do people continually rate Danny Williams???

Didn't anyone see that halfwit's performance against Sinan Samil Sam? Danny Williams is a (very) big joke.

Audley is blatently a class above.

I dont rate DW and I dont rate Audley Harrison, they are almost as bad as each other.

Danny is a shade better than Audley, thats all. That doesnt mean Danny's good.

DANNY WILLIAMS IS A WEAZEL

AUDLEY HARRISON IS THE SUPREME DREAM MACHINE of BRITISH BOXING and prove all his doubters wrong!

Audley would KO ruiz by round 7 if the fight took place today. He would just be too big and quick for Ruiz.

COME ON YOU BRITS, get behind your man. Audley is gonna win for Britain.
