Another nail in the coffin for Lewis' comeback?

Hot-shot lawyer, Judd Burstein is to part company with Lennox Lewis, the current WBC world heavyweight champion. The whisper was circulating in the Boardwalk Hall on Saturday night at the eight-championship fight bonanza, but the news is now confirmed.
Mr. Burstein has been extremely successful for Lennox in winning major lawsuits totalling millions of dollars.
Last week he successfully represented Terry Norris, the former lightweight middleweight champion, in an out of court settlement with Don King that entailed a payment of $7.5 million by DK to Terry Norris.
He also very successfully won major court cases against the former promotor of Lennox, Panos Eliades and his associated companies, again with multi million dollar awards.
The appearance was that lawyer and client Lewis would be a permanent relationship and the decision to go separate ways came as a big surprise in legal and boxing circles.
"After a great deal of thought, I've advised Lennox that I was resigning as his business lawyer," said Burstein.
"I certainly wish him well for the future and if he so desires, I he so desires I shall continue as counsel on current litigations."
Once again the evidence is that Lewis will not be coming back...

I dont think we will see him fight again at all,yet I dont want him to fight again either he should just get out while he is on top!!

He has beat everyone put in front of him and has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Lennox has been out of the ring for a while now and isnt getting any younger.

Thats not to say he couldnt come back and still beat people just that he may tar his legacy by doing so.

Give it up Lennox.

Does this mean Lewis will drop his action against Tyson?

I hope so.

I wonder who was influencial in deciding to sue Tyson? Lewis or Burnstein.

I have heard some very interesting things about Burnstein, from a very reliable and good friend who attended the Klitschko - Johnson fight.

According to a highly-reliable and reputable source, Lennox Lewis may have given Burstein the push. Not the other way round.

There is another way of looking at this.

Burstein may have quit because he wants Lewis to call it a day.....apparently he will still be handling all prior outstanding litigations for Lewis.

Lawyers very rarely let personal feelings get in the way of earning fees.
