Vitali v solis on sky live.

Post by Finn »

Im very happy with the boxing sky has been getting in. They got the hatton fight albeit delayed for contractual reasons.

And they've got us this fight too live.

The saturday night fights have been good quality as well.
Groves
Gavin
Degale
Larry
Burns
Sykes
Crolla

Along with ringside which is on my must watch list now, along with board walk empire and i see they're doing some on the ropes specials as well.

Its the only reason i pay my sky subscription.

Im looking forward to this vitali fight , which is suprising because it involves a klitschko. :P

If Solis comes in at a half decent weight I really think he wins this! I can see him getting in and out and exposing Vitali's slow feet by moving laterally and coming in with combinations for all 12 rounds, Solis really does come in off the jab brilliantly and whips in the body shots. Should be a good one!

thats like saying if pookie gives up crack

But yeah i agree IF he comes in at 230 or under then we could be in for a real fight. Why a fighter with the talent and attributes he has, has let himself go like that is bizzare. The heavyweight division as it is could be all his in a couple of years if he lived as an athlete.

I think on ringside they said the weigh in will be televised on sky sports.

There's a few rumours that Solis has done quite a bit of weight for this one. Hopefully so.

Yeah he's been in Granada, running up the Sierra Nevada.

Along with David Lemieux.

I saw Solis in the flesh labour to beat Chauncey Welliver. And it was A LOT of flesh. Can a man who got taken to points by Julius Long beat Vitali? He was a successful Cuban amateur, but then so was Jorge Luis Gonzalez. Another lazy bugger. I think the Haye victory flatters him. He's done nowt in the paid ranks to suggest he's a champion in waiting. I see him quitting on his stool after 8 or 9 rounds of Klit pounding. As it were.

My general view is the same. I think he might make it interesting for a couple of rounds, but ultimately Klitchsko will break him down.... much like when Klitchsko fought another Cuban, Juan Carlos Gomez. If Gomez didn't have the speed of foot and movement to keep away from Klitchsko, I don't think Solis will.
