Let's assume Haye does retire in October. I imagine a couple of scenarios.
If he wins against Wladimir convincingly, then he won't have a rematch and will presumably have one more fight. Haye has stated that he would like to finish his career with a fight against an up-and-comer. Who would that be? The winner of Fury/Chisora? Or
a match with Vitali.
If Haye loses convincingly, then he will presumably a fight with Vitali will be a no-no. That would leave him a fight with Povetkin/Chageev for his old WBA Title - once Wladimir is Super Champion.
Haye's Retirement.
Re: Haye's Retirement.
couldn't give a toss. Put the BN down yesterday because of him stood there posing on the cover....again
Wladimir chins him. Dr Ironfist chins him. Fact. Only thing is once that happens and the bubble bursts he can't go round preening himself like now.

And when he Chins Wladamir, what will you say? Would you give Haye the Credit such a result would merit?NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:couldn't give a toss. Put the BN down yesterday because of him stood there posing on the cover....again![]()

What else do you expect him to do for a cover shot? Sit looking miserable?
What odds will you give me for a Haye win?
Re: Haye's Retirement.
I would expect if haye looses he will probably retire. If he wins i think he will go for the other belt as long as the fight is made before the end of the year. He wont risk winning and then fighting a lesser fighter than wlad or vitali.keithmoonhangover wrote:Let's assume Haye does retire in October. I imagine a couple of scenarios.

He said he has 2 fights left- Wlad and then Vitali.
And then he retires.
And then he retires.

heavyweights only retire between fights.
I think he'll be back in 2013 for mega money.

Re: Haye's Retirement.
I have my doubts as to whether Haye will really retire in October.
I think he has just been saying this so as to appear as if he is calling the shots.
There is no way that if he beats one of the fighting doctors in July that he'd turn down a mega money fight with the other fighting doctor just because it would be staged after October 11th.

He'll be back once he realises no-one's that interested in watching him being the next silver screen Vinny Jones.
