Matthew Curran-39876.
Matthew Curran-39876.
Usually reported as P.O.Curran how can his alias be given as
Private Curran when he was a Naval Petty Officer.
Boxing books and reports give his nickname as :Nutty:

Re: Matthew Curran-39876.
Why his he still listed as Matthew Curran when as stated he was
reported and also included in yearbook records etc. as P.O.Curran.
How can he have an alias of Petty Officer and Private.![[icon_notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)

Do you simply do as told without any checking first. ![[icon_notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)
Re: Matthew Curran-39876.
Listen, I only enter the bouts because I trust you. I won't move a finger in the future if you're not satisfied with the rules i have to adher to...
Re: Matthew Curran-39876.
Have Listened but did not say anything about entering bouts.
Always prepared to verify anything I have submitted.
If the rules you have to adhere to do not allow a name to be amended and an alias to be omitted
then see no point in me trying to improve existing records.
It makes Box-Rec records look ridiculous when you can type in P.O.Curran on Google and get stacks
of information on a champion boxer of this name,Type in P.O.Curran on Box-Rec records and you get
boxers with names Pee Pee and Pop Eye.

OK, I'll change his name... I just meant that I can't omit a nickname, but I can change his name... As far as nobody reverts it...
Re: Matthew Curran-39876.
You have now given him a silly name of PO
Any British Boxing Historian would tell you he was known as P.O. Curran.
It should be obvious that P.O. was an abbreviation for Petty Officer.
It would be of interest to know who came up with Private as an alias. :??

Re: Matthew Curran-39876.
Yes, PO, and you're still not satisfied? The system can have problems is there are any signs like a "." in someone's name. Who first put in "Private Curran" as alias, I don't know...

Re: Matthew Curran-39876.
I'm really sorry, but as this is about a mexican boxer and about a sensible issue, marina or Blue would maybe be better suited to answer your request... I'm sure they are soon going to respond you, one of them...
But what I can do, I will put your article into our Editor's forum, so that they will read it for sure. Have a nice day,
Claude.

Don't worry, normally, IF it will be done, it takes less than a week...
Re: Matthew Curran-39876.
Of course, yes, it should be P.O. Curran!
