Re: Public relations company
I thought that was the job of the promoterrottie007 wrote:Can a british pro boxer with only a promoter sign a deal with a pr company authorising them to market him and get endorsements etc
Re: Public relations company
no a promoter only gets him fights and to a degree promotes the fights, trying to figure out if a boxer can have both.Does having a pr consultant stop him having a manager as the two seem to conflict
Re: Public relations company
I can't talk with complete authority without knowing the ins and outs, but as someone involved in running a PR company I'd be genuinely surprised if it was viewed a conflict of interest. Many sports stars have dedicated PRs/publicists who operate under the guidance of the star's management team e.g. http://www.eileenkoch.com/

Re: Public relations company
Yeah but a promoters job is also to promote and thus market the fighter to get bigger fan base and that comes in the form of media coverage ie newspaper interviews,etc.rottie007 wrote:no a promoter only gets him fights and to a degree promotes the fights, trying to figure out if a boxer can have both.Does having a pr consultant stop him having a manager as the two seem to conflict
