I used to somewhat respect BoxRec's rating system. Now its just stupid. To say John Ruiz is #2 in the WORLD IN AND OUTRAGE!! It is the worst thing ever!!! How did Chris Byrd lose points?!!! John Ruiz just beat Rahman so.... Holyfeild never went up to #2 when he beat Rahman!!! ITs retarded 5 losses and #2!!1

Cool your jets, Timmy: they're experimenting with a new rankings system (see the sticky thread on the Current Scene forum), and only bringing it online one piece at a time. For instance, as of a few days ago they hadn't yet activated the discouinting of old fights stuff, which is why e.g. Oliver McCall was still in the top 10 at HW and why (my personal pet-peeve guy ;)) Gianfranco Rosi (who retired while still ranked at MW, then came back over 6 years later, and beat one 4-12 stiff at 168) was in the SMW top 10 (Camacho Sr. was also highly ranked at SMW). I see in the latest rankings Rosi and Camacho have dropped out of the top 100 at 168, thought their individual records don't yet reflect their new ranking - editors, shouldn't there be some kind of link between the BoxRec ranking and the fighters' records, so the latter get auto automatically updated whenever the rankings change? Or does the DB sdoftware make that difficult to do? But McCall is still at #8, so things are still looking rather fishy at HW.
