Probably because the majority of casual fans have never heard of the guy but he would have been a decent step up. Rahman is a former world champion and has the victory over Lennox on his record so Sky could heve played that to the maximum.

This bill is cursed. I'm not laying blame too much at Hattons here. Initially they made pretty good use of their stable to provide the undercard (whether it was good enough for a PPV will always be a moot point) and then seem to have tried hard to rebuild the card with all the pull outs.

Meehan is a pretty good opponent at late notice. Sky should have taken it on chin and agreed for Fury - Meehan to be added to the bill. Surely that's better than no Fury at all.

That's probably the case, which is unfortunate. Meehan just recently fought in a final eliminator for a major world title and he has been in training. It would be a very nice step up for Fury.

He has fought at the world level since that time and imo should have won the WBO title against Brewster. I can understand this from a business perspective, but from the perspective of a fan it's frustrating.

I understand that, but I bet what they end up with won't be as good as Fury v Meehan (which would have been an excellent step up for Tyson)

If Fury is off the bill completely then Sky have really shot themselves in the foot

This is now taking the pi$$. Meehan would have been a great fight for Fury and more testing than Rahman imo. If Sky are holding the Williams fight against Meehan, how come Haye Vs Ruiz was allowed on Box office when Tua annhilated Ruiz within a round years ago too?

If you believe the Haye haters on ESB Meehan allegedly sparked Haye in sparring (I don't) and is always in good shape, which can't be said about Rahman. Poor move by Sky and Adam Smith. It would be nice if he gave an explanation why on Ringside.

The show is a shower of shite anyhow - and Smith and his numpties are starting to realise they've been sold a lemon ( lightbulb goes on..eventually ) so throwing their toys out over Fury, as they realise they've shot themselves in the foot by accepting this eurosport standard bill as PPV - which is laughable.

Adam Smith to me should be in charge of show jumping not boxing! Fury should never been chief support.

The card should be pulled from PPV noy way is it good value for money.

So Sky are not impressed by an opponent for Fury who was knocked out in a round live on Sky.

Whats £15 these days anyway, its just a bit of loose change. If you don't book the fight get yourself down the pub and spend £30 or go and put two and a half litres of petrol in the motor for the same money

Rip off Britain

For me personally the problem biggest problem wasn't the £15. Yes it was a rip off for the card but I have Sky Sports through BT Vision so Sky Box Office is not an option for me as you need a Sky satellite subscription. Many others are in the same boat.

i just wish all the Fury fans would CALM down a bit and get a reality check.

Its not just PPV Boxing but is it? Its everything, the Premiership, fuel prices, beer etc etc.

Personally I don't mind spending £15 for a PPV it keeps me out of the pub and club where I'd be blowing a ton for the privilege of been ill as a dog all day Sunday.
