Brilliant news!

This should be an absoloute cracker, both men are fringe World Level IMO. I fancy Murray to be slightly too strong and wearing Rees down late but coming through some really hairy moments early. Murray TKO11 for me with the fight really close. Should be good

Hope so too. They might get on the Cleverly undercaard aswell. I dunno who I would pick to be honest. Think Murray will win if he takes the centre of the ring and doesn't let Rees dictate the fight the way he did the first 5rounds with Watson. It is a close fight too pick, it may come down to who wants it more

Going by Murray's last defence you'd have to go with a Ree's win

Kotelnik is a more accurate boxer than Murray and Murray seems to struggle against a high work rate, which is Rees's field.

looking forward to this fight

Great fight for the fans, but Murray seems to moving away from a world title shot IMO. Hennessy had John close to a WBC title shot. This seems to be a money fight rather than a move closer to a genuine world title shot.

Interesting how Mitchell has gone off the radar and Rees has come into things. Certainly after Murray's last performance Rees would be a better choice of opponent IMO. I think Murray beats Rees if they do meet.

i think murray will break rees heart, watson had him in trouble it there fight with body shots i think murray will be to good for rees, murray had a tough night last time out so i think people are being to quick to judge

True that last performance has left a bad impression....mind you what's his best performance John Thaxton?

This would be a real barnburner of a fight (copyright: Ian Darke)

Tough to call, but I'll be patriotic and go for Rees to emerge victorious in a war

It would certainly make the PPV a bit more palatable. They need something else on there.

Murray can be the boss against Rees methinks. Rees is a tough little nut but I just take Murray to be tougher.

Should be a cracker i hope it happens. I'd favour Rees not just because Murray had a bad night last time out but Rees has proved he can handle taller fighters in Lynes and Watson. It's a 50/50 fight though.

Unfortunately being put to purse bids doesn't mean it WILL happen. If it did, it would mean Murray meeting a world class opponent, and I'm not sure he's ready to break the habit of a career just yet.

I hope Rees' nose injury is healed properly; after Murrays last bout Rees has to look like he can do it. After watching that Robert Guerrero last weekend I reckon neither of them would have even half a chance against him.
