Nicky Cook to return on Cleverly vs Braehmer PPV undercard

Also in action is 2006 Commonwealth Games champion Jamie Cox as well as former Commonwealth Heavyweight champion Sam Sexton, who is joined on the comeback trail by two other former champions, Liverpool's former British Champion, Paul Smith, who lost his title to James DeGale, and also Dagenham's former WBO World Champion Nicky Cook.

More than two years since he lost to Martinez. Has he been out with injury? Anyone know what weight he'll be fighting at? Mitchell v Cook was all over this forum a while back. Would be a cracking comeback fight for both, even an eight rounder, but I'm sure allegedly won't think so........

It is arguably the weakest division in boxing at world level. The European champion Fegatilli doesn't seem much/any better than domestic class and Sykes would probably be considered one of the weaker reigning British champions. So yes, I would say that it is rather kind to call it an average division.
There are quite a few good match ups involving British fighters that can be made at the weight though, so it is a good division in that way, if the matches are made.

That's what I was meaning mate when I said top notch. I was meaning a lot of good match ups at superfeather weight. Sykes, Appleby, Johansen, Foster, Walsh, Buckland, Truscott
