Don't you know he fought the greatest fighter that ever live, long live the invincible and almighty Duran.

Don't forget Duran is the only fighter that never lost a fight Even Hearns did not win the fight, Duran just did not want it to hurt him so he decided to throw away the fight.

He was originally on the list; I'm not sure why he was removed. Surely Calzaghe has a stronger claim to being the greatest Brit of the last 50 years than Bugner does.

Conteh's the best I've ever seen on film. He liked the sex, drugs, and rock and roll more than the boxing, though, sadly. Can't say I blame him. He seemed to have everything it took to be an all time great before then, though. Not only was he was a beautiful technician, but he knew how to get down and dirty when the situation called for it. He had a fighter's heart to go with his fighter's mind. If not for his taste for the good life and the brittle hands that hindered him toward the latter part of his career he could've been the perfect fighter. People tend to forget that he was quite a puncher early on, before the hand breaks forced him to favour his left for the remainder of his career. He adapted incredibly well, though. One of the most educated left hands I've ever seen.

Whilst Calzaghe did retire unbeaten, he spent too much time at WBO level fighting European level fighters.
Calzaghe was 34 when at last he got a career defing fight agaisnt Lacey, and finally went to America where he beat Jones/Hopkins past their prime

yup good post. skills wise, for me, Buchanan and Conteh stand out. both of em hard as nails, too, I've seen them both stick the nut in and stick it in hard. but p4p wise i suppose you could say Conteh had all of Buchanan's skills with extra physicality and pucnh to boot.

in terms of comparing British fighters' records the picture's much cloudier IMO as most don't have a long resume at the top level.
