Is it time to make a stand against ppv?

Post by Jeff Thomas »

?? Warren said that khan mccloskey was unworthy of ppv, he was right! But he also said he'd not try and sell low grade stuff on ppv. Aside from a cracking chief support between two novice pro's this ain't exactly clash of the titans.

Would this be an ideal time to say 'no more'?

I'm pretty certain there are other ways to watch it other then giving sky even more money for taking the piss. I'd have paid for both fights but I'm not paying to watch what amounts to a fight that would have been some way down the card when naz was fighting!

It's not the £15, it's the principal for me

Nice idea but this needs to be directed at footy fans not hardcore boxing fans.

I haven't bought a PPV since Hatton V Lazcano and won't be buying this weekends fight between two novices. Sky stood up to Khan's people and now is the time to stand up to Warren. Sky cannot allow double standards to prevail here.

Some of us are already making a stand against this daylight robbery. There's other ways to watch this fight. I cannot knock the main event but its only to take a clash of heads or a broken hand, forcing a premature stoppage, and suddenly even the main event means little, this is not a PPV show and my £15 is staying in my sky rocket :TU:

The Exchange in Haverhill offers Carlsberg at £2.24 and all the boxing you can eat in HD.

It also has Northern Soul on the JukeBox and is only 6 minutes from my house.

So 6 pints, Billy Stewart on the Juke Box and a bag of crisps.

No way I'd pay for this at home.

How do you get it on the web? I don't mind paying if its reasonable. I won't be paying 15 quid to sky tho.

I've never watched PPV live, since that Bruno/Tyson 2 debaucle in '96! £15.99 for 3 rounds of attempted murder.

Just buy all the recent fights from online vendors like http://www.dadsbazaar.com, any 4 fights for £5; if you live in the UK.

PPV is and always has been a negative influence on sport.

The only ppv i bought was the 5.99 super sixes and when they pushed it to 14.99 i told them to get lose. I havent bought a sky ppv more than once in 4 years and that was haye-harrison! So shows you what a tool i was. Never again and i speak for at least 30 other people i know. We just watch it in the pub now
