Prince Arron at ringside watching kris carslaw defend his british masters title as he is tipped as a future challenger for Arrons british title.

Based on tonights performance i think Arron wouldve went home quite content that he may hold the title for a while!!

Also a good 50 man brawl in the stand

I didnt enjoy it too much tonight mate.
The carslaw fight wasnt up too much. Carslaw won it by two rounds im sure it said but it could have went either way. He struggled to get any big shots off and got hit cleanly too often which aint like him. Landed one big shot which wobbled his opponent but apart from that it was a messy fight.

Limonds fight was overshadowed with crowd trouble but he breezed his way to victory but didnt seem to be letting his shots go too much. Seemed to be holding back a bit in my opinion.

Eddie doyle was again good to watch, good work rate but against a limited opponent who wasnt offering much in return. Id like to see how doyle would do against a live opponent as ive enjoyed his last few fights.

Young rocky wright or whatever hes called dropped his opponent twice in the first round, second knockdown was nice but he tried too hard to land the same right hand again for the rest of the fight and took a few shots himself. He performed reasonably well but not as good as ive seen him in the past.

Usual card tho..... Mismatches all over with a reasonable matched fight topping the bill

On the upside the two ring girls were beautys.

Limond needed the rounds. Good to see him back. Eddie will move on to a scottish title next fight. Rocky is good but very good when he wants to be. He would get more sucess if he set his right hand up more rather tham leaning with it. He'll be one to watch but.

What was the crowd numbers? Also a bit disapointed that there talking about putting Carslaw in for the british when his last few opponents havent been anywere near that standard ...i know it happens .

It was actually a decent crowd, not packed but reasonable.
The usual with the kelvin hall tho, big groups going in and out between the hall and the pubs depending on who they are there to see. Was quiet for the carslaw fight where i was sitting but i think that was mainly because people moved or left after the bother in the crowd.
Carslaw has loads of ability but it wasnt on show last night in my opinion and he hurt his hand early in the fight before that. Think his team would be making a mistake putting him in for the british just now. He's young enough that they could hold him back a bit and try to build up more consistency in his performances. Dont get me wrong, if he got the chance id like to see him win it cos hes a good guy but im just not convinced the timing is right.

Savage won on pts over 8, didn't have it all his own way. Made to miss a lot. His opponent was just coasting it, looked like he could step up a gear when he wanted but just seemed content with just getting through it

I agree with most of the comments regarding Carslaws performance last night. He didnt look himself throughout the fight. Taking nothing away from Dee Mitchell, he stuck close to Kris and gave him no room to get into his rythm. Ive seen Dee Mitchell a few times live now and yet to see anyone look impressive against him. On the positive, Kris showed real determination to grind out a fair result when things wern't going as we planned. Kris is 26 years old now and 14-0, in his last fight against Willie Thompson he injured his hand early on and had to just box and move, which he did do very well. The fight before that was against the tough Terry Carruthers who Kris stopped in impressive fashion in the 3rd. I think Kris will rise to the occassion if he gets the chance to challenge Prince Arron. Is he ready? I think so. As they say, styles make fights and i think Arron v Carslaw has the making of a really interesting fight.
Also on the card was ,light middleweight, Stevie Weir from the Saltire stable, hes now 5-0 and after a few hard years with injuries, hes looking good and hopefully we can keep him active.
