IBF 160lb box-off
IBF 160lb box-off
Just see this to see who will fight Daniel Geale.
Four middleweight contenders will face off in a two-match elimination tournament to determine the mandatory challenger for reigning IBF champion Daniel Geale. Sebastian Sylvester, Sam Soliman, Roman Karmazin and Osumanu Adama are expected to participate with Sylvester facing Soliman and Karmazin taking on Adama in the first round. “This is great news,” says former IBF champ Sebastian Sylvester, who is now ranked third. “In three fights I can be world champion and I have this goal clearly in sight. I’m incredibly motivated to get win it again.” The first round is expected to take place in the fall.

Re: IBF 160lb box-off
he holds the ibf pan pacific title otherwise im not sure
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
that will do it, these pan pacific and PABA titles guarentees you a top 10 rankingp4p1 wrote:he holds the ibf pan pacific title otherwise im not sure
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
Soliman has meant to have fought an eliminator twice but his opponent has pulled out.Adamj1987 wrote:that will do it, these pan pacific and PABA titles guarentees you a top 10 rankingp4p1 wrote:he holds the ibf pan pacific title otherwise im not sure
Unfortunate he has to fight 2 eliminators now to get chance at belt
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
A lot of blokes don't like fighting Sam because he is so unorthodox.
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
Because Geale already scored clear-cut victories over Sylvester and Karmazin, I want Soliman or Adama win the box-off. However, I think we will most likely see Geale-Sylvester II.
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
This 'box-off' for the mandatory has to be a good thing, I like it.
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
IBF do this all the time and every time they say its innovativedberry wrote:This 'box-off' for the mandatory has to be a good thing, I like it.
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
Forcing more fights against the top contenders is a good thing for boxing though, you have to admit.
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
i do i just wish the sanctioning bodies would include the other champions in there rankings to force unification fightsdberry wrote:Forcing more fights against the top contenders is a good thing for boxing though, you have to admit.
Re: IBF 160lb box-off
Agreed, too much politics when it comes to crossovers between the sanctioning bodies.

Re: IBF 160lb box-off
I don't believe that is true. I heard IBF pan pacific title doesn't guarantee you, a top 15 rating, let alone a top 10. I've been told you have to make a few defences, against good opponents, to get a top 15, fair enough I suppose. As for a PABA title I don't think that would gaurantee, you a top 10 or even a top 15. The PABA is connected to the WBA, but its not the for front of the WBA. It runs as a separate idenity, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that title would gareentee, a top 15 let alone a top 10Adamj1987 wrote:that will do it, these pan pacific and PABA titles guarentees you a top 10 rankingp4p1 wrote:he holds the ibf pan pacific title otherwise im not sure

Looks like somebody at the IBF's head office wants to get Karmazin killed.
