Traditionally a big HW title fight is a social occasion thought i'd see what people were planning for the night. I know some of you lucky f**kers are making it to hamburg and im sure there will be a few keyboard warriors sat in their mums basement streaming it but what about the rest?
I've got about 10 or so mates coming round to my house, my mrs is even staying in to watch the fight (and excited about it). Couple of crates of beer, a vat of chilli con carne, and some balti mix because i love that with stella.
I'm heading over to Hamburg for the fight with the Mrs and even though she says she's not bothered about it I can tell she's getting more excited now it is getting closer! I personally can't wait and this trip will be the highlight of my year.
We fly out on the Friday morning. Am hoping to attend the weigh in on. Friday afternoon and then probably out for a meal and a few relatively mild drinks on the Friday night.
Saturday we'll go for lunch and then from about 3pm get on the beers at a bar with other Haye fans hopefully before going to the Arena.

well i dont usually offer to do this but how about you send your mrs round my house to watch the fight with my mrs and i'll come to hamburg with you
I'll be in front of my PC, 20inch monitor, headphones, beers and some food and my wife will be sitting about 20 yards away, on her laptop, on Facebook or something.
She has no interest in the fight, but she is a damn good cook and depending on the final outcome, I might decide to entertain her

Hey Steve, do you happen to know where the weigh in will be? and at what time? I'll be there Saturday morning but a few of the lads are over on Friday like you.
I'll be round at Steve Kelly's (a fellow poster and Gary Barlow look a like). Both our wives will be there, mine loves her boxing which is good as its one of the few sports i can watch without any ear ache.

I don't know for sure mate. Usually they are late afternoon on the day before so I'd estimate any time between 2pm and 7pm. Really hoping to attend as the banter will be awesome!
Going to Glasgow during the day with the better half so going to go early and get back nice and early so I don't miss anything. Started back training on Monday so dunno if al be on the sauce. Time will tell. Will be at mine with a few of the lads. Getting the wee one a babysitter so I don't have to miss any of the 5 rounds it lasts. Might have a wee game of poker after the fight.

no worries mate, just trying to find out where it will be for me mates, and yeh i reckon it will be a good wiegh in, loads going off.
My friend is having a party on the night so I'll be watching round there. His front room is going to be stacked, I'm probably thinking about a crowd of 30 screaming at the TV.
There's a free festival in Cov in the day with Lethal Bizzle and Athlete playing (not together although that would probably be better) so being dragged along to that with my missus, her mate and her fella so will have a few there.
Then house and dog sitting that night and the lad who i'm house sitting for has kindly paid for the boxing and bought me a few beers. Which is nice.
Missus is out at night and is staying back at her house with her mate so i'm gonna invite a couple of mates round to watch the boxing and get messy.
I was supposed to be watching this in a pub in York, but that trip has been delayed by a couple of days so I will watch it on my 40" LCD with a platter of Nachos and home made chilli - washed down with a mixture of draft Guinness and bottles of Harp.
