Kell Brook will face Lovemore N’dou in front of a packed crowd at the Hillsborough Leisure Centre on Saturday (June 25) with promoters Matchroom Sport confirming the 888poker.com-sponsored show is a sell-out.

The Steel City show makes it back-to-back sell outs for Matchroom Boxing after the Prizefighter Welterweights II event at York Hall in east London was a full-house hit.

Brook fights in his home town for the first time in five years live on Sky Sports 1 and HD1 from 10pm and the unbeaten Welterweight star admitted there will be some nerves when he tackles the experienced 39 year-old Australian-based South African, who has yet to be stopped in 62 pro fights.

“I'm a professional so I hope I'll be calm and do the job in a professional manner,” said Brook. “But with a sell-out crowd in to see me, with all my family there, it's going to be so a great occasion.

“My Granddad is going to be coming which I'm so happy about. He's getting on a bit now so he doesn't like to travel too much, but he'll be ringside and he's a Sheffield man who's loved his boxing forever, all the British greats like Henry Cooper and John Conteh, so for him to be there is something very special.

“There won't be a single face in the place that I don't know! I'm down the road from my house, I'm in a hard fight, and I've got all these people coming down to see what I can do, asking ‘can he dance like he says he can dance?’ Well, the time will come on Saturday to show people what I can do.”

Brook – whose new official website http://www.kellbrook.co.uk is now live – says he knows N’dou will provide him with the toughest test of his career so far, but he feels he’s ready to impress with a move to new promoters giving him a real boost.

“Since joining Matchroom everything has changed,” said Brook. “The relationship I've got with Eddie Hearn and with Sky Sports is amazing, and I've been everywhere, interviews on Ringside, commentating on Prizefighter - I couldn't wish for anything better and I'm in a really good place now.

“I've done all the interviews and there's a lot of people talking about me – but no-one has seen me fight for a while so it's time to show them what Kell Brook can do and prove I can live up to the hype.”

This has points all over it imo. Ndou's been in with much bigger punchers than Brook. If I were him I'd aim for a shut out. That would be just as impressive.

I wonder how Brooks stamina will hold out. Even he won't know himself how his body will cope with twelve rounds. For that reason he may well going in there to box safe and without trying to bomb him out.

Only way I see Brook getting a stoppage would be a (probably controversial) referee's stoppage.

Think he stops him by halfway myself, Witter had him down a couple of times if memory serves and had him in all sorts of trouble and broke his hand trying to finish
him (at least thats how I remember it) N'Dou has had some hard tough 12 rounders and took some punishment, I can see why everyone thinks its a certain pts win and may well be but
I think his durability will go eventually and I see no reason to think it won't be on Saturday

I think it could depend on the ref. I think Brook might stop him from landing too many rather than sparking him. I'm going for a sixth round stoppage from a bamboozling barrage from brook.

This is a v.good point. I am a fan of Kel but has any1 ever put him under any kind of sustained pressure? Im not saying Lovemore will but when i have seen him out of his comfort zone, even slightly i may be more sold on him.

It's 50/50 I reckon...Ndou isn't getting any younger and he's no Bernard Hopkins. I reckon a late stoppage isn't out of the question.
