HH
Got it right this time.
Chambers, have you seen the film Chopper - Eric Bana plays him and is absolutely awesome in the role. It's a really really good film if you like that genre. You can pick it up in HMV at the moment for around £3.99, if you like the book - you'll love the film.Chambers wrote:Sorry to go off subject HH (it bumps the thread anyway) but I remember you having a Chopper Read avatar and I am currently reading his first book, has anyone else read it?
I would reccommend it to anyone who likes to read about crazy bastards from the underworld. The book is called Chopper and he is an Australian who used to go around taking money off various dregs of society (shooting them if necessary), such as pimps, drug dealers etc.
In the book he says his dad had always had a thirst for violence the same as himself and his dad hated the mistreatment of animals, so when he noticed that his next door neighbours had an anorexic dog chained up in the garden, he went round and warned them to start looking after the dog properly else there would be trouble, which they said they were doing. A few weeks later the dog was still in the same condition, so Choppers dad went round the next door neighbours kicked the door off its hinges thrashed the next door neighbour and drowned the poor dog to put it out of its misery. Chopper said "That was the first time my Dad had ever seen a greyhound"
I have seen it its fantastic, but the book is even better alot of what was seen in the film is duplicated in the book, but it goes into it in more depth , there is alot of artistic interpretation goes on in the film. I have got the DVD and it has got some interviews with the real Chopper at the end of the film, which I enjoyed as much as the film. He is a proper character and how he is still alve I will never now. He is legendary especially in OzEddieShredder wrote:Chambers, have you seen the film Chopper - Eric Bana plays him and is absolutely awesome in the role.
