Sturm improves in replays.
Not sure Matthew can improve much more on his performance in the first fight, but good luck to him.

Sturm fought Macklins fight first time round, I doubt he will in the rematch.
Great that they have agreed to all of it already. I'll definitely be watching after Matt's inspired effort last time.

Re: Macklin v Sturm II - November 25
Just heard from Matt. He hasnt discussed a rematch let alone signed one.
But Sturm sees it different -
"Hello friends,
It really was a close thing on Saturday at the Lanxess Arena. I think Matthew Macklin and I have put up a great fight that surely ranks among the best in the middleweight division.
As I said, it was very close, but I'm still firmly convinced that I have achieved the results clearer.
Of course there is still much debate, but all this talk I will quit.
At noon today my manager sent to the warehouse Macklin of the contract for a rematch. We have an appointment on the 25th-26th November 2011 (Friday, Saturday) in the Lanxess arena proposed.
My suggestion to Matthew Macklin: "Let's clear the thing among men of the world." As I said: "I'm ready And I'm sure we'll see an even bigger fight in November.."
Felix"

That's the way I see it, Macklin fought his best and lost last time. Sturm didn't fight anywhere near his best so I can only see him improving in this fight winning clearer.twenty six wrote:Sturm improves in replays.

Re: Macklin v Sturm II - November 25
he's been fortunate there :!: fairplay to sturm he wants to improve on his performance, but i cant see how macklin can,he done everything & still lost :!:
Re: Macklin v Sturm II - November 25
who knows which one will improve - perhaps mackin will improve having done a hard 12 at world level and left sturm looking a bit battered & dispirited at times.
sturm usually improves 2nd time around. and yet, im wondering why he ever rematched gevor. maybe he hasn't got too many hard fights left in him?
BTW, reckon murray and crolla will follow macklin into world class. just as murray's british title was a motivator for macklin, prior to beating elcock, i'll bet macklin's near miss/controversial loss will help take his stablemates to another level.
