PURDY v WATSON - Betting Odds!

They fight again on July 16th - I realise Watson was a hot fav for the first fight but Purdy dropped him pretty heavily and I would
think must have a big chance of doing the same thing this time and yet you get the following odds

2/9 Watson
3/1 Purdy

Purdy is 7/2 to win by ko and thats the only way I see him winning to be honest so effectively he is a 7/2 shot.

Even though he could be outboxed this is possibly each of two in the sense that Craig knows he can be stopped by this guy, Purdy must be even more
confident in himself than ever before.

Are these odds right in peoples eyes or is the 7/2 huge value for what in my book is nearly a pick em fight after what happened in the first one?

Cracking bet Am all over this. Purdys recent interview in boxing news was very revealing. Still have tO go some to top the 7-2 I got about Martin Ward beating Ian Napa last weekend. That was the bet if the year right there.

That can't surely be the odds, Purdy must be Fav, he ko'ed Watson and would have improved after becoming champion, as all new champs do, plus Watson might be gunshy.

I know there are a few of us on but I take it most feel the odds are right as so little feed back.

Thought Purdy was holding his own before the stoppage last time really and just feel its almost each of two.

We will see I guess, Watson is classy when on form so that may put most off.

Trust me Watson was run down for the purdy fight an when he got stopped over in Italy he came right back an beat Matthew Hatton. I no for a fact Watson it gonna win this one he told me he performs better under pressure all in all it should be a cracking fight : )

I think the value is with Purdy. I think Watson is the better boxer and will be ultra on his guard next time out where maybehe got a bit lazy last time. But the odds should probably be 5/6 each man really, so at 5/2 or more Purdy is decent value.

Thats exactly the way I am thinking, 5/6 each of two and therefore 5/2 (available now is big), Watson may still win for reasons you illustrate above but I think if you pull the value out
in 2 man events, more often than not at the end of a period you can get your nose in front.

Fairly sure Watson would have been in front on the cards but Purdy was well in the fight in terms of being competitive and was pressuring Watson whilst Craig was doing his work
and moving away as he does, Purdy was trying to walk him down and get in range to land a big shot and disrupt Craig's work.

Its a perfectly acceptable argument that Watson gets in and out and does his work and glides to a points win but my point is that the prices whatever happens in the second fight
do not really represent just how conclusive a ko it was, Watson was completely gone and you would assume Purdy must improve a little with the confidence of his win behind him plus the
working day in and day out with the likes of Darren Barker in the camp can only be good for him. Still its just a personal view about the prices, would not encourage anyone to part with there
hard earned unless they feel the same way.

Think I have convinced myself to have a bit more at 5/2
