Documentaries
Documentaries
On youtube i found the documentary of Tony Booth:i could have been a contender and Kirkland Laings: the special one doc too. Reminds me how great setanta was for boxing. Pumping money into educating fans like this. Any idea when there will be access to the Jamie Moore Documentary? and what documentaries would you recommend and like to see made?
Re: Documentaries
I would recommend the Channel 4 Thriller in Manilla documentary, the interviews were excellent. As of course was the action. Sad to see that Joe Frazier wasn't set for life after fighting Ali 3 times, then again he may have blown his many millions for all I know.

I hated it, I thought it was very uncomfortable viewing and badly produced, it looked like it was made by an 80's porn director.
Knowing there was some real animosity when they were around each other but they were clearly faking niceness in order to get some cash...yeeeuuuch!!!
Terrible doc.
Re: Documentaries

Re: Documentaries
Excellent those docs, if they're the HBO ones. Too short @ 1/2 hour each, but brilliant all the same. HBO production values make Sky look like amateurs, unfortunately.diggler wrote:just bought a dvd on ebay hbos legendary nights cant wait till it comes
The best boxing doc ever made is When we were kings - just brilliant. The negative was lost for 20 years or so, stuck in a lab in Africa, but they rescued it late 90's, and what a find it was.
Re: Documentaries
Thanks Jon, am pleased to see the Codeine hasn't taken the rough edges off you.
(What a horrible painkiller Codeine is, hope you take it steady and your leg fixes good).

Have you seen 'Fighters' by Ron Peck? That is a good documentary and you will see Boxrecs own Darcy Delaney grafting away in the background. A fantastic hour in front of the telly

Re: Documentaries
Mate, you need to go to the Doctors and get some Tramadol Hydrochloride, I was on 16 of them a day after my car crash - if you drink loads of water with them they make you love everyone.Jon Saxon wrote:keithmoonhangover wrote:Jon Saxon wrote: Hey everyone look at mad Keiths post lol

Re: Documentaries
Codeine and Tramadol are opiates and you need to be careful with them; people get stuck on them and they combine lethally with other drugs (including alcohol) :(

I couldn't wait to get off them Foxy. They made me throw up a canny bit.simon fox wrote:Codeine and Tramadol are opiates and you need to be careful with them; people get stuck on them and they combine lethally with other drugs (including alcohol) :(
Re: Documentaries
I agree, there are better and more effective medications - Codeine is horrible; I know people who'd put up with the pain than take em.
