Really really close to being a HOF'er. Very very good fighter.

He definately should be in the hall. If Barry McGuigan is in, he should be in, too. :x

Ugh, I hate it when people say this. The question is "SHOULD" DeJesus be in the hall . . McGuigan SHOULD NEVER have been inducted. Just b/c he's in doesn't mean the standards should lower for everyone else.

That said, I think he did enough to get into the HOF legit. Beating a prime Duran is pretty big.

If IBHOF will continue to induct 3 boxers a year, he will get in.
It seems 3 inductees a year gives too much chances for others..
If IBHOF trims it down to 2-inductees a year (which I agree), DeJesus will have a hard time.

If he got in he sure wouldn't be the worst fighter in the HOF. Realistically speaking he certainly isn't the most deserving fighter not to make it in yet.

Esteban Dejesus was a great fighter, a former world champion and tuck roberto durans undefeated record! yes he should be in the ibhf

Terrific boxer with excellent left hook and underrated punching power. Great ring generalship and technique. Only man to beat the great Roberto Duran when Duran was in his prime. Duran was also in his best state...No excuses.

Lost to 4 men. All of them world champions: Duran, Antonio Cervantes, Antonio Gomez and Saoul Mamby

Hall of famer in my eyes. Beat a top ten all timer in his prime. Didn't lose to anyone other than a HOF'er or a red-hot fighter at the time.

Put him in the books.

Like I said, I'd have no problem with him getting in, but he's certainly not the most deserving. From LW alone, Charley White, Lockport Jimmy Duffy, Willie Joyce, and Paddy DeMarco have better credentials.

He beat Duran fair and square...No excuses. He is the only one that beat Duran at his best state and in his prime. De Jesus was an excellent fighter.
