Re: Ricky Womack how good was he?
He was a very good amateur and pro prospect. Almost a legend in his own time as an amateur. Very feared. He made Holyfield cry in the locker room before one of their bouts and in a recent interview Tyson stated he had a lot of respect for Holyfield even as an amateur because he beat this guy everyone was scared of: Ricky Womack. Ive got three of his amateur bouts with Holyfield and two or three of his pro bouts. His amateur bouts with Holyfield are some of the most action packed amateur bouts you will see. They are wars. The guy was always in phenomenal shape, even after prison when he was about 40 years old.

I've always wondered what went on in this guys head that caused him to do what he did. He seemed to have everything going for him, and he just threw it all down the toilet. Very unfortunate waste of talent.
