Lovemore Ndou Agrees to Michael Katsidis Fight

Lovemore Ndou has agreed to step down to 140 pounds to give the people the fight they want against Michael Katsidis “The Great”. Katsidis’ manager, Brendon Smith and Ndou have verbally agreed to the fight and are waiting to finalise a TV date but the fight will be in November in Brisbane, Australia. The vacant IBO Light-Welterweight title will be on the line.
Speaking exclusively to Aus-Boxing.com today Ndou said: “I think it will be a great fight, I have great respect for Katsidis. I look at him as a warrior like myself. We both have proved that we will fight anyone anywhere in the world. We are not afraid to risk it like most fighters. We come to fight on top of that. Win or lose we always guarantee a great fight. We both spent years fighting abroad and now we plan to do it at home. That’s why we will make sure the tickets are cheap and people can bring their families and enjoy a great night of boxing. We are giving back to the community. There will be no trash talk leading up to this fight. There is no need for it as anyone that knows their boxing knows it’s gonna be a hell of a fight. There is no need to talk trash to sell this fight. Australia truly needs a good fight. There hasn’t been any good matchups recently because almost everyone is fighting to protect their records. This will be the fight of the year.”

Let's hope it comes off this has the potential to be the Australian fight of the year IMO
Re: Lovemore Ndou Agrees to Michael Katsidis Fight
I finished watching the Brook v Ndou fight about half an hour ago and thought to myself if Kat v Lovemore would ever happen. if this comes off it would be huge....and I think another trip to the east coast would be on the cards !!!

good fight
ndou is spot on. Any rumours on a date?
Re: Lovemore Ndou Agrees to Michael Katsidis Fight
I'd love to see Ndou get a win before the fight, i know he fights everyone, but how about a good solid test against a fighter in this region first.
I will be attending and it's about bloody time big fights started coming to Brisbane.

We did have Mundine v Geale, and have kicked myself everyday for not going.
I actually attended Mundine vs Charlie the cabbie on the Goldcoast, fark that night ended badly for me and poor Charlie
But being serious i wanted to justify paying $350 bucks for Katsidis and Lozada, but only ever saw the result ending the way it eventually did. A fight with Lovemore would be great, but i'd like Lovemore coming in of a win, not 2 straight loss's. I'd also like Brendan smith or promoter to put on a better undercard for that sort of cash, no doubt there should be plenty of fighters willing to jump onto Katsidis bandwagon, it could be the next best promotional company in Australia if they play there cards right.

lovemore turns up as if he has won his last 10 in a row anyway. he is always confident.

Now that's a fight, I really think the media here in Sydney needs to get behind Katsidis. I also think they need to get behind Geale more aswell. I suppose Katsidis isn't from Sydney & Geale isn't originally from Sydney, maybe that's the reason they don't.

I think that would be a cracking fight. Two genuine world class hard nuts going at it. Katsidis by close points decision for me. I'll have to get to this one live. Two guys that have ducked no one one the world stage fighting each other here in OZ i love it.

Who needs Mundine and Green?
Re: Lovemore Ndou Agrees to Michael Katsidis Fight
Katsidis/Ndou ain't a done deal....an option atm if other 2 options (off shore) fail
Re: Lovemore Ndou Agrees to Michael Katsidis Fight
No application nor request has been received by the IBO for the title either, so don"t know where they got their info from
