Lovemore Ndou has agreed to step down to 140 pounds to give the people the fight they want against Michael Katsidis “The Great”. Katsidis’ manager, Brendon Smith and Ndou have verbally agreed to the fight and are waiting to finalise a TV date but the fight will be in November in Brisbane, Australia. The vacant IBO Light-Welterweight title will be on the line.
Speaking exclusively to Aus-Boxing.com today Ndou said: “I think it will be a great fight, I have great respect for Katsidis. I look at him as a warrior like myself. We both have proved that we will fight anyone anywhere in the world. We are not afraid to risk it like most fighters. We come to fight on top of that. Win or lose we always guarantee a great fight. We both spent years fighting abroad and now we plan to do it at home. That’s why we will make sure the tickets are cheap and people can bring their families and enjoy a great night of boxing. We are giving back to the community. There will be no trash talk leading up to this fight. There is no need for it as anyone that knows their boxing knows it’s gonna be a hell of a fight. There is no need to talk trash to sell this fight. Australia truly needs a good fight. There hasn’t been any good matchups recently because almost everyone is fighting to protect their records. This will be the fight of the year.”
