Dear Mr Rainey.
I am the College Welfare Officer at Soar Valley College in Leicester. England
Recently one of our 15yr old students, Tyler, was tragically killed in a train accident.
Our students were so shocked and traumatised by this that they have decided to raise funds in order to produce a video and posters on ‘Rail track safety’. Depending on the amount collected, we are also looking toward some sort of ‘Trauma support’, for those involved in situations such as this.
They are working with the staff, Tyler’s family and the rail Health and safety executive and hope that this will be a resource that could be used in schools across the country.
We have set up the ‘Tyler Memorial Fund’ and are trying to raise funds for the project. We were wondering if you or any of your friends/clients would support us by sending something that we could either auction or raffle.
