Re: Robert Lloyd Taylor Prizefighter Champ
Very well done RLT on winning Prizefighter.
As he knows when I spoke to him at ringside and told him that he had the skills to win so go out there and do it, which to the surprise of many in York Hall he did.
This young man has talent, first showed when he started out in the pro game under the careful, watchful, eyes of Jim Evans, but seemed to wander of course at times.
The uppercut punch he was throwing all night was exceptional.
If he can get his head into some serious training and stay focused who knows whats around the corner for him.
Robert, enjoy spending the 32k with your family, and the best of luck for the future.

Re: Robert Lloyd Taylor Prizefighter Champ
How much of that 32k you think he got then?
Re: Robert Lloyd Taylor Prizefighter Champ
To be honest I dont know how much he ended up with. Of course he had to pay Mick Williamson and Johnny Eames who handled him on the night + training expenses, but I am sure he ended up with a good chunk and will enjoy spending it very much especially as he was never expected to win. I have spoken to him a few times and he comes over as a nice kid, nothing flash about him. Good luck for the future RLT.

how does that work 10% to corner team? which would leave 29,and then massive chunk of tax and ni?
Re: Robert Lloyd Taylor Prizefighter Champ
That was the best Prizefighter I've seen in ages.
Lloyd-Taylor boxed brilliantly and conducted himself superbly too. A very worthy mention to the other competitors who contributed to an excellent night of boxing.

Re: Robert Lloyd Taylor Prizefighter Champ
I saw Robert out side Northolt train station the day after the fight. He said he was promised a shot at the British against Lee Purdy in his next fight. He looked unmarked in his face. Which shows what achievement it was to win as a stand by fighter.
