Primetime, Floyd, Duke, Bunce, Khan and you! Soon.

Post by Buncey »

Here's the story tonight...what fighter at what weight would push/beat Floyd...super-feather, light, light-welter, welter and light middle.
Names on here and I will be reading out all night...11-12pm on Freeview and then 2-6am.

Enjoy and stay with us.

Adios.

No one. But for a brief time at super feather, there was the outside chance of a MEGA superfight for the little guys: Floyd v Naz.

Looking back, it's pretty clear that Floyd would have mugged Naz and stood him on his head, but with the Prince's TNT punch and the press conferences alone, it would have been a HELLUVA ride :TU:

I'm not sleeping on Ortiz like most are. I think he can win tonight, he's got the tools to do it.

Of this era and since he became a world champion i would say none.............

De La Hoya and Castillo were close fights though !!

I would like to have seen how Floyd would have dealt with Thomas Hearns at the welterweight level. Hearns being tall and rangy, fast handed, had a good jab, technically a great fighter and could punch with either hand.

That would have been an interesting fight........

current fighters? none bar Pacman, though I'd take Floyd to win Pac would push him.

Contemporary fighters? I'd like to see how Floyd vs Tszyu @140 would pan out. Floyd would be favourite to win but Tszyu had a hammer right hand and was an intelligent fighter himself. Barring that, maybe the De La Hoya that fought Tito @147.

Ah well, these things happen i guess. Ok now, round 3.

Only guy who'd have beat Floyd in last 20 or so, at his weight - Sugar Ray Leonard ? Same level of speed & talent, but a goodnight punch in either hand.

If the feed keeps cutting out this will be the first and last time I buy Primetime. Would rather just find out the result the next day.

Anyway, The Bunce.

Floyd v Tszyu would have been an interesting fight if you are talking about guys active at his weight when he was also at that weight - fights that shoulda happened.

Tszyu at his best was patient, fit, accurate, ruthless and packed serious power and that is why Floyd took the easy belt against Gatti, a belt that Kostya really owned.

The only weight he grabbed a belt in but clearly fought second tier and sorry, Gatti was about 6 or 7 in the world
