And so who would you like to see Fury fight to work his way up?

I think Tyson, being British Champion should refocus and defend his British Title three times and try to win the lonsdale belt outright. Because there aren't many British Heavyweights who own a Londale Title.


It has been touted that he will be fighting in October, here is a schedule that I would arrange for him:

Oct 2011: Vs Richard Towers British & Commonwealth title defences
Jan 2012: Vs Martin Rogan British & Commonwealth title defences
May 2012: Vs Audley Harrison British & Commonwealth title defences

I know that the dates so seem close, but Fury is an active boy, and he likes to stay that way... I didn't include Wiliiams, Skelton or Sprott have lost a few fights recently... And by rights, boxers like to beat other fighters who are winning.

Won't Fury have to defend against the winner of Price vs McDermott at some point in that time frame? It looks like a good series of fights though.

The Lonsdale belt would be great outright, also Heavyweight but I think over 3 / 4 fights I would like to see some international opponents as well soon to progress him, also I cannot bare Audley Harrison and having to listen to him again in a build up

My opinion is not to hang around British level too long.

October 2011 I would go for Martin Rogan next, Good clash of unfinished business to put it to bed in a British and Commonwealth defense.

Michael Grant for a fight against a big Heavyweight who done ok against Adamek and would be entertaining while it lasted.

Samuel Peter - Try and get the scalp of a former WBC World Champion, it is a winnable fight as Peter has become shop worn and if Fury is to progress then he should be able to beat Peter now. I think Helenius has taken some good names of late including Peters building his way up.

August 2012 - European Title Fight
Alexander Dimitrenko - this would push towards a world title fight if he can come through these.

I think Sprott would be a really good fight in the next few months.

Obviously the Lonsdale is a big prize, but he could quite easily waste a year and perhaps regress if he hangs around fighting domestic names that in all honesty aren't much cop, as opposed to international names that offer a sterner challenge.

A Harrison fight would be a really bad idea, obviously the build up might be entertaining with Fury laying into him and Aud with his ''it's my destiny'' BS, but the fight would be awful as a spectacle, with Fury pounding a scared shitless opponent into eventual quittage in the mid rounds.

Pricey will obliterate him when they meet - if there is any justice left in British boxing (and that is a very big IF indeed) this should be next spring or early summer at the latest.

I really like Fury - he loves being in that ring, has fast hands, has balls to the wall guts and toughness and has fought decent opposition. Is Price more skillful? He is but having more skill won't necessarily win you a fight - if you think that isn't the case
then give me a few minutes to list hundreds of fights where the better skilled boxer lost to the inferior fighter because what really
does count - Fury has it in spades!

Oh yeah, totally but - people are stating what Fury doesn't have but I think what he does have are really big factors into what makes a successful fighter who can overcome more talented boxers.

I don't disagree, although I think Fury could really help himself out by improving those aspects he doesn't have. Some of them shouldn't be beyond him.

I'd love to see Fury-Price next year, but long and bitter experience is telling me it probably won't happen.

He's still only 23 and has plenty of time. Talk of fighting any of the Klitschkos is, to be honest, unfair for such a relatively inexperienced prospect. I'd advise him to go and train with the Wladimir Klitschko and get Emmanuel Steward on board, and a decent conditioner. He's still too heavy and needs to lose some of that weight round the middle and pack some muscle into his abs and build his core strength and get some pop on those punches.

I think Steward could do a great job with him and training with Wlad (which he did a while back) can only bring him on. What's he got to lose?
