Can all licence holders please attend this meeting at the arden hotel solihull The board are going ahead with there changes They dont want finacially interested people on the councils Even though they take money and are finacially involved All the big promoters are backing this so can everyone please try and make the sffort to attend Thanks

So, at the moment, one promoter could have be on the Central Area council, and he would be able to be involved with all judgements and decisions on a rival promoter and that promoter's boxer, including disciplinary matters.
That sounds wrong to me, especially considering all the cases of tapping up boxers under contract there have been in the Manchester area in the last few years. Under the present situation, is a promoter is accused of tapping up a rival promoter's boxer, if he is on the area council, he could end up sitting on his own case.
And the "they take the money" line, what's that all about? It's not like they are abolishing the central area council. And it's not like people at the Board will make more money as a result of this.
