Yep have to say last night was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be - the blacking out every few mins was annoying and the quality of the picture was a bit lacking but it wasn't too bad.

But Appleby - Walsh would have been a fantastic fight on any channel, take that out of the equation and we had a suprisingly good undercard bout that looked likely to be dull on paper, a suprisingly easy win for o'meara and a 60-54 for conquest over rasani! Note to
allegedly there is a reason sky omit these non affairs.

The maths don't add up I'm afraid! There is no way that good quality shows are sustainable and within 12 months I envisage we will be stuck watching some 18-0 prospect vs an Afro bum and paying for the pleasure!

Let's see - hopefully I'm wrong

I'm not the only one thinking that this is just a way for Warren to not be pressured by tv companies into putting his fighters in to competitive contests and pad their records as much as possible.

Richard Keys knows absolutely nothing about boxing, he was as bad as Gary Newbon used to be, what have they both got in common? they both know nothing about the fight game :shame:

Enzo did a great job, I thought Keys was a bit nervous at times.

Thought Friday night worked pretty well to be honest but Saturday did not work for me, Buncey commentating himself and just him on the 3 German fights was in my view a mistake and poor.
The Proksa mauling of Sylvester was almost over before he noticed that Proksa was on top, he was bigging up the fight in the first round and rambling on and Proksa had already virtually sealed the deal by the end of the first round. If they are going to do the job then lets do it properly, Friday night worked with a commentator, Saturday would have been a very good show with someone like Rawling or suchlike commentating.

Key's obviously hadn't A CLUE what he was talking about, he may as well have just landed from mars, but you could say the same about dave darts too. Buncey is great as presenter, giving summaries between fights, but as a commentator......not his strength at all - he tries to add too much colour, and it's distracting ( telling us about 5 times that Cunningam was from THE MEAN STREETS OF PHILLY ) He's great as a presenter though - funny and enthusiastic - stick with that and not commentary.

Would tend to agree, I found his commentating distracting - e.g. making up nicknames for referee's etc. Clearly knowledgable and that is a bonus, but I think he needs to be an analyser or interviewer.

For me you cannot beat Bunce's video segments e.g. his thing on Laing for the BBC and Cuban boxing.... class.

I did prefer the second allegedly show.... I really enjoyed that card and definately prefered big Ron as the presenter over Keys - and Groves and Powell made good guests.... they just talked about the fights on hand and not about the allegedly venture and the "plug a fight" the york hall one started to feel like.

Yes you can tell Big Ron is definitely a real boxing fan, and not a fake plastic one like Keys. It's pointless having a boxing presenter who doesn't even like the sport, there's going to be no enthusiasm there.

I find Steve Bunce rather distracting at times. Something about the way he moves.
