Those shrewd posters who said Joe Calzaghe will have to wait for a shot at WBO champion Zsolt Erdei once he moves up to light-heavy, could be spot on. Dariusz Michalczewski underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in Hamburg on Friday. After the doctors successfully fixed a small meniscus tear, Michalczewski said he's willing to work his injured knee, his body and his mind into the top condition he needs for another world title shot. "I want to fight for the title again and retire as world champion," declared The Tiger.
His training starts in four weeks.

I wouldn't write his chances off either, he has started to slip with all the wear and tear he's had to endure defending that title but this could be his last fight and I can see him working himself into the ground to give himself a decent chance at beating Erdei.

Yeah no suprise there, local showdown = big bucks. Bad blood, disrespected me in sparring etc etc

Title stays in Germany too. Erdie looks to have too much for Darius at this stage of his career.

Wonder if the knee hampered him before the Gonzalez fight cause he certainly looked fleshy.

Despite all those wins Michalszewski has had a bloody tough career, I'd like to see him hang them up right now.

Erdei looks too good for his WBO title in truth.

I was expressing my surprise at the fact that Erzei was going to be fighting Dariusz...not that mighty warrior did a report.

Nah I just supplied bennie a round by round and he wrote it up. I was asked to do some interviews for them but never seem to get round to it ( lazy bugger )

I see Tony has ignored your advice and gone for Williams tomorrow night bennie, no family feud I hope?

Told you he was modest, James. He also used to write for Boxing Monthly, so if you really think about it, you'll know who he is.
No feud, MW. Most sensible people seem to be backing Williams and Boxing News likes to be sensible. Either way, I might get some money for the preview in about two years (I kid you not).

It's a false information: DM won't fight against Erdei next. It's 100%.
DM wants the WBA title, where he is the mandatory challenger.

Yes, Branco will fight Fabrice Tiozzo first, and DM wants to fight the winner of that fight.
