On paper looks straightforward for McKenzie but Evans has some skills and people tell me he is improving fast, Will Ovill be too powerful
or will he run out of ideas if Evans keeps his boxing together.
Quite looking forward to this one, could be interesting.

Ovill can be outboxed, as he sets his feet for power, and out-worked over the course of a fight. But he has a solid chin and is only really detered by serious power, like Bellew. I don't think Evans is without chance but he isn't a solid puncher and the last time he boxed someone anywhere near McKenzie's level, against Paul David in Prizefighter, he was shown to be a bit of a novice.
I dont expect anything different on Friday.

Jeff evans has improved alot since the Paul david fight and has nothing to lose in taking this fight,Gary lockett has done a cracking job coaching him and i honestly believe the upsetter mckensie is gonna go home upset.

In which case it should be a decent fight. Dont get me wrong, I think Evans is a neat little boxer, and he didn't do too badly against David in Prizefighter last year. But whether has he the engine and punch to keep McKenzie off him for 36 minutes has yet to be seen. As said, I certainly think he has a half-decent chance; Ovill can be very one-dimensional.anslow200883 wrote:Jeff evans has improved alot since the Paul david fight,Gary lockett has done a cracking job coaching him and i honestly believe the upsetter mckensie is gonna go home upset.
