2 quality additions to Wales' growing list of prospects.

Post by dewipowell »

Next Saturday Liam Williams and Warren Sinden both make their pro debuts, they fought each other it the Welsh ABA middleweight final in March.

Liam is fighting on the George and Dragon promotion in Aberdare. He's 19 and from the Rhondda, he's trained by Vince Cleverly/Alan Davies and managed by Gary Lockett. He can punch like a donkey kicks and he was a very decent amateur, winning 7 Welsh titles and 6 British at various ages. He was in and around the GB squad and he was due to go to the Euros but got hit by a car the day before! I think Liam is fighting Ryan Clark next Sat.

Warren is fighting on the Hatton promotion in Preston (he's in uni there) and he's dropping to light-middleweight. He's from Welshpool and 22, he's trained/managed by Johnney Roye. He was a Welsh schoolboy champion a few times and a 2 time runner up at the Welsh ABA's.

It's a pleasure to know both guys and they're both top men, they could meet again in the future too. Keep an eye out for them, 2 top additions to Welsh boxing and we've now got some serious prospects! :TU:
