Harry Thomas

Post by raylawpc »

Your record for Harry Thomas shows him losing by a knockout to Joe Louis in 5 rounds on April 1, 1938. Yet, the description of the fight reads:

“Thomas was down five times before the knockout. Thomas gave a very good account of himself. He won the second round and landed some dangerous punches in both the fifth and sixth rounds, the last being a smashing right to the jaw of Louis, only seconds before Louis scored the knockout. Attendance was 12,000 and the gate was $45,600. All information is from the Chicago Tribune (Bob Soderman).”

A bit of a discrepancy there. :witzend:
