When did Benton retire as a trainer?

Benton was coaching in Fraziers gym including training Marvis back in the late 70's until around '79, Joe jacked up all of the fees for boxers and trainers causing a big exodus from the gym from both boxers and trainers. Several new gyms opened up as a result including a gym Benton opened at 16th and Stiles. He later hooked up with Duva when Duva signed most of the '84 Olympic team and I believe he became the main pro trainer for many of those boxers. From what I know/heard George was drinking quit a bit around that time and at some point Duva cut him loose. My facts may not be quite accurate but that is the gist of what happened to him. I don't know how long he continued to train boxers after the 80's.
