Goossen gets his own back...

Post by bennie »

Joe Goossen will be training Diego Corrales for his forthcoming rematch with Joel Casamayor on March 6. Goossen was in Casamayor's corner in the first fight in October, but was replaced as trainer after the fight by Buddy McGirt.

could worry Casamayor a little......Joe will know first hand all his weaknesses and positives. With Buddy on board I expect the Cuban to box more. I'd rate Casamayer the elite fighter at lightweight, he edged out Freitas IMO and hopefully the winner of this fight gets Morales/Chavez

Strange move for Casamayor to change camps after a career best win.

This Goosen guy is a jerk. Have you seen his attire he wears in the corner, all smart suits and shit. And then at the end of the 6th round i think against Casamayor he was shouting to Casa that he had won the fight, Corrales had no chance etc.. No wonder Casamayor was getting complacent at times in that fight.

And this is his latest act of un-professionalism, he's blatently just trying to get his own back on Joel, well i hope Casamayor KOs Diego as i think he will.

Yes i pick Casamayor as well, Corrales is overrated for my money, he beat Garcia and Manfedy but tripped up when he moved up in class against Mayweather and then Casamayor. If Casamayor boxes then he wins IMO, only if he gets macho and decides to trade does he let Corrales into the fight.
