Well Froch managed to get his warm up fight out of the way with minimum problems last night, he caught his Russian foe Adamovich with some good shots on the first knockdown but when the fight was eventually stopped i noticed that few punches of the flurry actually landed cleanly. Froch hit arms and hands but Adamovich was obviously looking for a way out and Froch stopped him easily two rounds quicker than Robin Reid did. I don't think that makes much difference though as styles make fights and Reid approached the fight differently.
One thing that struck me was how big Froch looked, i think Steve Bunce was wittering on about him resembling a swimmer or something. Don't know about that but his arms and upper body looked huge, methinks he wasn't at SM limit?

I don't think anyone cannot have anything but very impressed with Froch. He looked fast, and seemed to hit hard. He did look a monster for the weight.
I don't think the opponent was looking for a way out, he could have quite easily stayed down in round 1 if that was the case. He was very limited though and didn't test Froch in the slightest. Froch spoke well after the fight, he could have spouted off stuff like "this win shows I'm better than Reid", but he didn't.
Good performance all round.

yeah have to be honest i was impressed with froch last nite
he wasn't fighting any1 but he still did it the way u expect a prospect to do it.
at times he could do with a firework up the arse cos he's so relaxed he hangs around on the ropes and gets cornered a bit too much but other than that he looks a pretty good prospect.
lets put it into perspective he's in the super middleweight division even if he isn't perfect he could well go all the way against whats out there.

I didn't interpret Froch's comments that way, Jimmy. He did say "styles make fights". The reporter wanted Froch to bring out some sort of line, that why he said "well, you've stopped him before Reid could". I thought the styles makes fights was a good thing to say.FlawedGenius wrote:Froch looked very good, although I still want Dodson to beat him, which I think he can.
Don't compare it to the Reid fight, Froch made a tit of himself with those little insinuations. The truth is Reid carried the lad to practice a few things for the Ottke fight, fact.

Froch...
As I've said before,Froch is a huge talent. He really bangs hard, moves well and has a good boxing brain.
In a recent interview, regarding his open defence,he said;"People say my chin's exposed, but I've got it tucked in behind my shoulder and I'm confident to box this way" I thought, your going to regret saying that, one of these nights !

I tend to agree, Froch and Haye I think may come unstuck, but it won't be at domestic level I don't think.
There are very few fighters who can flout the fundamentals, hell, even Roy Jones had his guard up against Tarver when he was getting whooped.
I don't think you can stop everything having your chin tucked in behind your shoulder, if someone clouts you, you're still gonna get KTFO.
