Last year a thread arose asking who was Australia's fighter of the year and what was fight of the year, some very memorable fights were mentioned, so i thought a thread on the subject again was warranted.
lets get some names going, some candidates and some fights that stood out as the best fight both here and Aussie abroad.

Dib wins IBF Feather title; Ricky Sismundo (21-4), Jorge Lacierva (39-7-6), Alberto Servedei (31-0-2). Wins and defends title.
Geale wins IBF Middle Title; Beats Sylvester in Germany, Eromosele Albert(24-4-1)
Darchinyan wins IBO Bantam title; Beats Yjonny Perez (20-1-1), Evans Mbamba(18-1-0) Loses badly to Anselmo Moreno(31-1-1).
Mundine wins Interim,Interim WBA title Ltmiddle; Gets Revenge by beating Wood (10-1-1),Toliver (23-6-0), Rigoberto Alverez (27-3-0).
Tomlinson wins IBO superfeather title; Billy Sumba (18-3-0), Bandung Patavikorngym (19-1-0), Alan Herrera (26-3-0)
Naoufel Ben Rabah; Roy Tua Manihuruk (11-5-2), Then destroys Isaac Hlatshwayo (30-2-1)

Fighter of the year for me is Geale for a second year in a row.
Fight of the year; For me and i hope others add other fights that aren't popping into my head, but Tomlinson vs Hererra for the IBO title was special.
A mixed year for our most recognized fighters and some new names to add into the top enchelon of what this country can produce.
Here's a few who really are our top fighters and had some very tough guys to deal with.
Danny Green didn't record a win in a calender year for the first time in his career but can hold his head high.
Katsidis records a win but loses 2 out of 3. Possitive is that Katsidis returned to Australia and leaves Smith.
Zappavigna loses his 2 fights for the year while challenging for a title.
