Britain producing the most active boxers in the world
Britain producing the most active boxers in the world
Ric posted this interesting bit of info in the CS. These ten fighters, six of whom are British, had the most bouts in 2011; only Barakat and Knieps won more than they lost.
Should fighters be applauded for their activity even when they are perenial losers who are more concered about lasting the distance than winning the fight?
Ryan Clark: 27 bouts
Daniel Knieps: 26
Sid Razak: 24
Kristian Laight: 23
Baker Barakat: 22
Remigijus Ziausys: 22
Delroy Spencer: 21
Elemir Rafael: 20
Billy Smith: 20
Jason Nesbitt: 20

Oi! Surely I'm up there too, ha. To be fair the money has gone down but if you have a second job , it ain't bad dough . At twelve hundred a POP , if your lucky . It,s only a monkey a week over the year. Hardly life changing if you've got chavvies . These boys deserve every sheckle

Re: Britain producing the most active boxers in the world
alot these fights are 4x2s and thats usually 900
Re: Britain producing the most active boxers in the world
4x2 is amateur boxing they get paid nothing. A pro fighter needs to step up if he can only do 4x2 maybe he shouldn't be classed as a professional. That 900 quid must be the easiest money a journeyman would get, surely sparring? If I'm watching a show and a 4x2 comes on I go and have a pint. Luckily I haven't witnessed one in England but unfortunatly I've seen a few in N.Z.James The Great wrote:alot these fights are 4x2s and thats usually 900

4x2s are mainly show savers, short notice fights, or a fight where the pro is a raw novice and wants to learn his trade slowly. 4x2s can be just as hard as 4x3s because its usually high pace all way through.

What because I don't wish to pay to watch it, I should do it myself.Coco wrote:Try doing it yourselfyid14 wrote:4x2 is amateur boxing they get paid nothing.
