For those of you who haven't checked out FW's site today, Wayne Elcock faces Zimbabwe's Farai Musiiwa at York Hall on Saturday night.
Musiiwa is a decent fighter. He boasts a win over the highly-regarded Mihaly Kotai, and rocked Adrian Stone to his boots last year. But he's just a light-middleweight in truth, so he'll be giving natural weight away to former WBU middleweight king Elcock, who is aiming for a rematch with Lawrence Murphy.
Can't blame him having a softish come back fight after that nasty Ko defeat really... I'm afraid Ive got real doubts about Elcocks chin... also his ability to recover after being hurt!....
What!?! And give up their hard earned world titles?
Seriously though, I know what you mean. If the top domestic middle's (excluding Eastman) all fough each other instead of no mark mandatories, there'd be some decent match ups.
Farai Musiiwa is actually a better fighter at middle than he was at welter.
I saw him fight Erik Teymour before christmas and he looked bigger than Erik in the ring. (he was 11st12 i think) He must have killed himself to do welter and light middle
