What happened to Terry Fletcher?

I was reading through my Harrison-McCullough programme and it describes Gary Young as being a top prospect along with Matthew Macklin and TERRY FLETCHER.

This guy has dissapeared big time..anyone know where he is and if he is still with SN?

He is good mates with Macklin from their amateur days - I will try and find out more if I can PR.

terry last fought on my show in barnsley..in may of last year. since then no one has heard of him,wanted him on another show in october but even sports network can't find him...just disapeared! shame,the kid looked a good prospect.

Yeah, strange one this, he lost to Rosehill's Lenny Daws in the ABA 63.5 kg's final a couple years back, he's good mates with Macklin and his brother Jimmy also lost in an ABA final - last season to Repton's Danny Happe at 69kg's.
Karmand's Jimmy Fletcher is about to embark on another ABA campaign but first has to overcome a couple of good Yorkshire boxers in Thomas Coward and Ryan Ashworth.

Pocket – found out a little more about Terry Fletcher for you. He is from a travelling background and lives on the outskirts of Bradford.

Apparently his heart isn’t fully in the game and he has a number of successful business interests so he doesn’t necessarily need professional boxing in the same way many others do.

Seems a shame because as you say he was a promising prospect but who knows maybe he will get back into it at some point?

Was researching Khabib Allakhverdiev and saw he beat Terry Fletcher at the World Jnr's in 2000
Odd to think the guy quit the sport for what, 7 years then lost 2 and quit again?

Terry trained with myself and Peter along with macklin for a while and I'd say Terry punched has hard as anyone I've had on the pads easy in both hands too,his family are top drawer and whatever he does he'll do well good head on his shoulders.
