Looking at boxrec though, he didn't appear to hold any sort of WBC trinket until he beat Jirov, and he certainly didn't look anything like he looks in that photo then. That photo is clearly him at light heavy, about 14 years earlier. He's also wearing the Kronk gym colours, which would also tie in with that period...if you look at their website there are a load of pics of the Kronk guys done around that time:
