Been off the forum for a bit, so I'm coming out swinging on this one.

I just think Canelo will be too busy, coupled with the fact that Floyd is on the way down and there can only be one result.

Mayweather would tee off on Alvarez, it would be Gatti like, almost. Wont happen though as Mayweather wont fight him at 154, he prefers teeing off on the little guys.

Mayweather is past his prime Quixall. He's 34, not very active and well above the weight he should be fighting at.

Hopkins is 46 and still producing great displays !! The fact that Mayweather isn't particularly active and hasn't had many hard fights mean that he is fresh at 34 years of age. None of his recent performances suggest in any way that his skills are slipping, none at all, his skills remain undiminished. I think it may be wishfull thinking on your part keith.

Canelo destroyed Rhodes, who ain't a small light-middle himself.

I remember Floyd arguably losing to Castillo when he moved up and challenged the WBC at 135lb , we're talking 154lb and he is massive at the weight on the night.

If I may interject: no, he is not in his prime (which he spent with his feet up sipping Cristal & throwing dollar bills at poor people).

Oh aye, tough fight in that he'd get hit back & probably marked up & shaken once or twice, yes, comparatively speaking it's a tough fight, but fuck me you've just said that a kid who beat Ryan Rhodes (no offence meant, lovely fella etc etc) in a competent, unspectacular wearing-down sort of job is more than capable of fighting Floyd bloody Mayweather...

I wouldn't say that Floyd is in his prime, but the percentage that he has slipped from what anyone would consider was his prime is less than 10% IMO. I don't believe that he will fight canello, but if he did, he would be too savvy, too quick, for the young guy. From what i have seen of Canello, i would say he looks pretty one dimensional, comes forward and looks quite easy to hit. Floyd has maintined his sharpness, you could see that against Ortiz, Marquez and Mosley. People will always look for things about Floyd that aren't there and i believe he has at least another 18 months before his skills will decline.

Its arguable that Mayweather is peaking in imo. His last few performances have been outstanding.

Yes, he fought Johnson, Quix. Ketchel earned $250,000 in his career and spent most of it before being shot and killed at age 23. He liked 'fast living' opium, whisky and women. In 2004, Ring magazine named Ketchel #6 on their list of best punchers of all time.

James McAvoy is my first choice actor, but Yid is a close second. ;;-)
