Fulmer far too strong for Graziano. Stoppage win inside 10.

I do as well. This only goes one way.

Fullmer stops Graziano.

Ugly beating, Fullmer is big time underrated. Graziano was a huge star and comparable to Gatti. Don't get me wrong, Rocky was a superior fighter to Arturo by a wide margin. But the fighters then were equally superior to the fighters in gatti's time as a whole. Graded on a curve, they are kindred spirits.

What about Zale (the prime version) against Fullmer, who I agree is under-rated?

That would be a vicious brawl. I'd side with Gene slightly.

Zale gets underrated too these days.

When I first started watching and reading boxing Zale was an automatic MW legend. These days rarely mentioned.

I totally agree. Tony Zale, before his 4 years in the Navy, would have given Gene Fullmer a hiding.
Fullmer ,though tough and awkward was not in the same class as the middleweights of pre WW2
who Zale beat such as Al Hostak,Bily Soose, Fred Apostoli, Georgie Abrams....Each one of these MWs would have beaten Fullmer . I loved Rocky Graziano, whom I saw at his best, but the only reason the 3 Zale/Graziano bouts were so competitive, was because Tony Zale at 34 years of age was way past his peak...He is so underated today by many....
