Bruno was good. He wasn't going to get beaten by anybody mediocre.

But he really needed the other guy to have an average chin. If they did then chances are Frank woul beat them.

I'd love to have seen Bruno-Weaver. Two bangers, both of whom could be cracked.

I don't see Pink, Tubbs, Dokes, Berbick or Page KOing Bruno, guys like Bone and Spoon packed a real wallop, the other guys had power but not that big one punch like the guys who stopped Bruno.

One thing I will say about a prime Pinklon is IMO he was slightly better then The Lennox Lewis of 93.

Pinklon takes Bruno by ninth round stoppage.Though I don't think much of Thomas in the power department, by this time in the fight, he takes Frank into deep water, flooring him twice en route to the inevitable.BTW, I could see Page Kayoing Bruno, he could hit with either hand.Very underrated in that department.

prime thomas cant lose this fight. brunos best weapon was his jab but Thomas's jab was harder and better. Thomas had a good chin in his prime. The only thing that means this would be most likely a 10 round win for Thomas is he fought at a workmanlike pace some of the time, but he is just far far more talented than Bruno, he would outbox bruno by moving and ramming stiff jabs in Franks face, Frank would suffer an eye cut and be exposed over 10 on points. This is exactly the kind of match, Bruno avoided. he only beat 3 handpicked top 20 guys throughout the entire decade of the 80s!!!!! Only 3!!!! and he was well beaten by the 3 other less handpicked top 20 guys he fought who were of a higher level

Yep like others have said Thomas kicked his heroin habit in his youth and took up boxing. I think he got back into his bad habits after he lost his title to Berbick and got divorced. He went in a pretty sharp decline, performance wise.

Anyone else feel that Pink, despite his name and pink shorts, was a pretty scary fellow in his pre-fight build up interviews? Real aura of menace about him.

The fight would end predictably for Bruno, with Thomas winging puches at him in the late rounds, whilst his stamina depletes & he struggles to improvise under pressure, thus forcing the referee to stop the fight.

He may have . . he certainly did go through a very swift decline post-Berbick.
