Berto beats all of em with Mayorga putting up da best fight due to physical size. Hell Mayorga was the only one of them to beat a fighter of Berto's caliber(forrest).

what has he done to show that?

arguably lose to luis collazo?
having a good six round battle with victor ortiz before losing basically every round from 7 to 12?
take out quintana who didn't do anything since williams II?
have a fairly competitive/even fight with jan zaveck before zaveck's corner stopped the bout?

urango is a decent win (although that was the only time urango went up to WW)

but berto (as a WW) IMO, is no higher than gatti when he competed as a WW and berto is not on the caliber of Forrest (at least yet he's not)

Berto beats them both possibly stopping Gatti. Maybe im wrong but ill always view Gatti and Ward as C level fighters were as I consider Berto a B-level fighter. Forrest was a better figher than Berto but i believe berto gives him some fits im talking about the Forrest that Mayorga fought.

I would favor Berto. Ward was extremely limited and aside from beating Gatti never did much of note and lost to many average fighters.

I think Ward and Gatti are too easy to hit and get away from and Berto would resort to boxing after realizing he's not just going to blast them away.

Mayorga stops Berto. Mayorga was very potent at 147 and Berto would be able to resist trying to knock his block off and getting roughed up in Mayorga's type of brutal fight.
