Stephen Foster now meets Sean Hughes

Steve Foster Junior, tentatively lined up to meet Mickey Bowden, will instead fight Sean "Short Fuse" Hughes for the vacant English featherweight title at the Kingsway Sports Centre in Widnes on February 26.
Southpaw Hughes won the vacant Central Area super-bantamweight title last October with a fourth round stoppage of big Yorkshire rival Paddy Folan in Bradford. It was his third win over Folan, who lasted less than a round with Foster in 2002 at York Hall.
The unbeaten Hughes, 8-0 (1), has boxed once since, a points win over Marty Kayes in December.
He is from the Michael Marsden camp.

McDonagh has a good record on paper, but I don't think he's going to make it. He seems a bit flaky. He's had trainer Brian Hughes tearing his hair out with his showboating in fights, though his 12-round win over Eugenio Monteiro is looking better and better.
Foster looks a good prospect, though lack of real power may hold him back. Like McDonagh, he's been very well matched and we won't know how either man will get on until they meet someone who truly fights back.

I think both McDonough and Foster have the ability to go far in this sport, McDonough is huge for the weight and hopefully he'll get down to business more when he matures - I believe he's ready to step up now.

Foster is looking better and better all the time and he to is ready for the big step up.
