I've always been facinated by one of Philly's finest 'BAD' Bennie Briscoe the ultra tough menace of the Middlewieghts throughout the 1970's.
BAD Bennie had an iron jaw, as far as I can trace was only on the canvas 3 times in his career, twice in the first round against Mexican Rafael Gutirrez, whom he stopped in the next round (some say with the help of a low blow). The other time was when he was stopped by top quality Rodrigo Valdes.
Does anyone know if there were any other knockdowns suffered by BAD Bennie?
I heard he was stunned but didn't go down against Vito Antuofermo.

I thought Bennie had a big enough lead to eke out the decision notwithstading the poor last 2 rounds.
