Audley has been the most injury prone heavyweight ever. He seems to sprain his ankle buttoning up his shirt.

Old school fighters used to box regardless of these sorts of injuries.

Yeah, for example knocking a guy out despite doing your shoulder in the 3rd round of a fight.

You're right on the injury prone front tho. He did his shoulder in some weight lifting 'accident' after his first fight didn't he? Since then it's been injuries every few years.

Not at all. It would be on before the Nottingham card.

No it wouldn't, unless they decide to have 'an afternoon with Ali and Audley'.

It might clash with the supporting card, but it will be on before the top two fights on the card. If it is correct that the fight will be on at 11, as you suggest. I don't know if that is true, and history dictates otherwise.

Either way, they wont be putting it on at the same time as the top of the card. That's obvious.

i didnt say it was on at 11 , said maybe 10 or 11 but froch has said already it wont be like the 2am crap that happened for dirrell fight as it caused several issues .

The only thing that's obvious is that it's a very unfortunate choice of date, and they haven't even announced the Froch v Bute undercard yet. Plus, the Brentwood card has 15 fights on it.

Honestly, more people are interested in Audley Harrison than Carl Froch. His fights get the greater viewing figures. He receives far more media attention in the press and on TV. He has infinitely more charisma than Froch. I remember watching the Khan/Fagan card in a large sports bar. When Audley was boxing Martin Rogan the entire bar was crowded around the screen Audley was fighting on. The nearby screen, showing Froch verus Pascal live, had one bloke stood watching it alone.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Audley is interesting, Froch isn't.

Eddie Hearn told me that the Froch v Bute fight is contracted for midnight. So in theory the Fraudley fight wouldn't clash. However I'd expect the Froch card to be pretty stacked so could clash with some decent match ups.

That may have been the case at the time but Froch has been marketed pretty well by Sky recently so I don't think that would be the case anymore.

:TU:

I think Audley at about 8.30 would be acceptable, or are there watershed issues. 9.00 - 9.40 for a 10 rounder would be fine also.

He went 14 months without doing any real training. Of course he's going to get injured.

Watershed ? its non tv to my knowledge . For it to be on at 8:30pm what time are you expecting them to start ? dont forget some mentioned already its a 15 bout card , so even if El Maachi is main event rather than Harrison v Adams then theres 13 bouts prior ,
It isnt going to start earlier than 5pm surely and even thats bloody early , 13 fights in 3 and half hours ?? its not impossible but i cant imagine it , 1 fight every 20 mins will get 10 fights in so would be a bit of a rush .
Not my show so ive no idea on plannings of times but just trying to use a bit of logic , if you assume first fight starts around 6pm - half 6 then Audley would be 10pm at the earliest

Maybe I took someone's suggestion as read. You could be right. If that's the case I've been talking bollocks all along, in this thread
